Barista — Competitors prepare four espressos, four milk drinks and four signature beverages in a 15-minute performance. Judges assess taste, cleanliness, creativity, technical proficiency and presentation. Source: World Barista Championship
Brewers Cup — Manual filter brewing has compulsory and open services. Compulsory service uses the organiser's coffee; open service includes a chosen coffee and presentation. Judges assess attributes including aroma, flavour, body, balance and acidity. Source: World Brewers Cup
Cup Tasters — Competitors identify the different coffee in each of eight sets of three cups. Correct answers and speed determine advancement. Source: World Cup Tasters Championship
Latte Art — Competitors create matching free-pour and designer patterns. Judges assess visual qualities, creativity, matching patterns, contrast and the overall performance. Source: World Latte Art Championship
Coffee in Good Spirits — The preliminary competition combines a two-drink Spirit Bar service with a main-stage service of two hot or warm drinks and two cold drinks. Six competitors reach the final, which requires two Irish Coffees and two designer coffee-and-alcohol drinks. Source: World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship
Roasting — This event tests coffee grading, preparation, blending and roasting. Competitors develop roast profiles, and assessment covers preparation, production-roasting skills and the quality of the final cup. Source: World Coffee Roasting Championship
