Pan Wei

Pan Wei is the 2026 World Barista Champion — the first from China — and the founder of Parking Coffee in Hangzhou, where he runs a coffee brand and roastery. Twice China's national barista champion, in 2021 and 2025, he won the world title in Panama City at his second world championship, after Busan in 2024. He describes twelve years of work in coffee and competition, beginning with a love of drinking coffee and making it for his family; before that he trained in engineering and left a job at a state-owned company to apprentice in a café. At Parking, ideas developed on stage reach café guests through coffee sets that explore different ways to serve a coffee. Outside his professional work, Pan enjoys hiking, camping, music and sports.
